Organized by the Asian New Generation Creativity Design Association (CDA-Asia) and co-organized by the Clothing Industry Training Authority (CITA), the “Strive and Rise Programme” star mentor event Design Sharing has successfully concluded at our venue on August 19th. The event was honored to have the presence of the Secretary for Labour and Welfare of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr. Chris Sun Yuk-han, JP, who delivered the opening speech. Following that, Mr. Dorian Ho, the founding chairman of the Asian New Generation Creativity Design Association, shared his valuable experiences and thoughts in the fashion design field with the guests and students, further deepening the students’ understanding of the fashion design industry.

To express gratitude for the full support of the Clothing Industry Training Authority for this event, Mr. Chris Sun Yuk-han, JP on behalf of the Strive and Rise Programme, presented a certificate of appreciation, which was accepted by CITA Chairman Mr. Cheng Man-tak. After the ceremony, Mr. Sun, Mr. Dorian Ho, and Mr. Cheng led the Strive and Rise Programme participants on a tour of the Clothing Industry Training Authority, the Sample Development Center (SDC), and the newly established Fashion Resource Center (FRC). The participants also took part in a Qipao Bookmark Workshop under the professional guidance of Classicsa New Academy, where they designed and crafted unique qipao bookmarks using scrap fabric.

The event received an enthusiastic response, successfully embodying the concept of “Building a caring and inclusive society, enhancing upward mobility opportunities for young people,” allowing participants to gain a deeper understanding and knowledge of the fashion industry. It is hoped that this event will inspire participants and serve as the beginning of their career planning.
