With the advancement of 3D virtual technologies, fashion designers and developers will have to be able to create virtual fashion items by applying different types of state-of-the-art software and hardware. 3D fashion designers have therefore been becoming more popular in the fashion industry.
Objective
The course aims to provide students with the essential 3D fashion design skillset which will enable them taking up the roles of 3D fashion designer in the new fashion arena.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, they should be able to digitalise clothing materials and fashion items for virtual presentation (e.g. fashion collection in form of digital portfolio).
Course Features
The course is designed to be interactive. Students will learn the latest 3D CAD software through lecture, demonstration and practice. There are extra self-study and consultation sessions arranged outside the regular class time so that students could practice and work on projects at their own pace.
