Study MissionBeing one of the main elements in supply chain, retailing plays a key role to support the re-industrialization of Hong Kong fashion industry. Retailers and buyers are in need of techniques to strengthen their operation processes. In view of this, the Clothing Industry Training Authority (CITA) and the Hong Kong Institution of Textile and Apparel (HKITA) are going to organize a training course which aims to provide knowledge and practice on fashion buying and retailing strategy. This training course will be held during 22nd, 26th to 28th October 2019, including a study tour to Seoul, South Korea from 26th to 28th October 2019.
In this course, the participants will be able to learn how to analyse the global fashion market and industry; differentiate the fashion customers into different segments; research on current fashion trends; apply the fashion buying cycle knowledge in different fashion retail formats; analyse fashion buying issues and plan under different contexts; and use computing software for fashion buying calculations. The participants can apply the buying techniques in the real buying market, but not only classroom theoretical discussion. The course medium will be Cantonese (with English training materials).
The participation fee is HK$8,300 per person (twin room) / HK$9,100 per person (single room). The member of Hong Kong Institution of Textile and Apparel (HKITA) can enjoy a discount of the participation fee.
